Precept: £86,250.00
Leeds City Council Grant: £1275.00
This is an automatic grant that the Parish Council receives.
Leeds City Council Grant: £334.00
For footpath maintaining and cutting in the Parish. There are several footpaths that the Parish Council is responsible for.
VAT Reclaim: £5,000
Christmas Income: £3425.00
This covers the sponsoring of the Christmas Tree and the Christmas Lights.
Hub Hire: £240.00
The PC can hire out its office. In 2025, Leeds City Council’s Ward Councillors hires out the office on a monthly basis.
Hub The Library: £3120.00
This is the financial contribution from Drighlington Library for the running of the Community Hub
Bank Interest: £625.00
Payments:
Audits: £1200.00
The Parish Council undertakes two Audits per year. One is conducted by an Independent Auditor and the second audit is completed by the External Auditor PKF Littlejohn.
Staff Expenses: £300.00
This covers items such as travel (when applicable), uniform and replacement equipment.
Defib Costs: £750.00
This is for replacement items such as batteries for the several Defibs that the Parish Council owns in the Parish.
Chairperson’s Allowance: £150.00
This is not paid to the Chairperson. This maybe used for items such as ‘congratulations; cards, flowers etc
Donations Awarded: £125.00
The Parish Council is able to make donations to community groups etc. Previous donations such as the Foodbank
Grass-Cutting & Garden Maintenance: £2650.000
The Parish Council are accepting tenders in 2025 for grass-cutting, cutting and maintaining of several footpaths in the parish and grass-cutting and pruning in the Quiet Garden.
Insurance: £1200.00
Grants Awarded: £700.00
Community Groups in the Parish can apply to the Parish Council for grants. The general award is usually £300.00
Training Cllrs & Staff: £300.00
This is to help with the professional development of both Councillors and the staff
Printing & Stationery: £550.00
Remembrance Event: £600.00
Repairs & Maintenance: £750.00
Room Hire: £620.00
The majority of the Parish Council’s meetings are held in the Methodist Church.
Enforcement Officer’s Salary: £5,000.00
The Parish Council entered into a agreement to have an Enforcement Officer working in the Parish on a part-time basis. The Parish Council contributes to the Enforcement Officer’s salary.
Salaries and related Costs: £43,400.00
This is for the Parish Clerk and the Environmental Officer. This includes, salaries, Pension contributions and HMRC payments.
Subscriptions: £1100.00
The Parish Council subscribe to Yorkshire Local Councils Associations (YLCA). YLCA offers training at reduced rates and advice when required.
Annual Parish Meeting: £700.00
This is an annual event for the Parish. This is an opportunity for the Parish to raise questions, queries, etc. Community Groups are invited to come along and the Parish Council present the Annual Community Awards to individuals and Community Groups who have gone above and beyond.

Election Costs: £8000.00
This cost is when a Parish Councillor resigns and an election is called by 10 electors of the parish. As the election is a stand-alone election the Parish Council pays the full cost.
Councillor Expenses: £100.00
Professional Fees: £2000.00
Are budgeted if required.
Payroll Costs: £500.00
The Parish Council uses a third-party payroll company to administer its payroll functions.
The Community Hub: £10,500.00
The Parish Council manages the Community Hub. There are associated costs such as rent, utility and broadband as well as the annual fire checks.

The Parish Council will also update its year-to-date budget on a monthly basis.
